I believe he is already a LinuxCNC user. The machine
control he has is about the same as on our Bridgeports at
work, our machinists SWEAR by it, and they seem to be quite
productive. But, then they usually do simple 2 and 2.5D
work on those machines. They have a semi-graphical
conversational programming for making pockets and similar
stuff. But, those are 20 year-old controls, and no idea how
long they will keep perking. This potential customer didn't
seem too thrilled with the Bridgeport DX control.
