Along that sharing line of thought, I've just found a pwm motor
controller that is 10 for $14 motor control, can be used with 5 volt
drive but should really shine where a mesa card has 12 volt field power
to drive it. 40 volts max psu, 20 kilohertz pwm/pdm drive, 13 amps
continuous, 50 surge. No direction but for running pumps and other such
tom-foolery, it looks like the ideal slightly over half a cubic inch of
solution. I just bought ten of them to play with, look for X002b3VVUN on
amazon. I am not happy with the board I'm controlling my mister air
compressors with, runs too hot on 5 volt drive but I'll try it for that
in a day or 2. <9.5milli-ohms on R at 5 volts drive from a std bob.

google search for:
 <http://www.aosmd.com/res/data_sheets/AOD4184A.pdf>
for the spec sheet, two of these on a teeny board.

I have 5 of the MPJA.com, $6.95 each, #36394 12 volt diaphram air pumps
lined up on a 3d printed mounting plate sitting a soft rubber mounts, all
5 draw a bit more than an amp combined from 12 volts, makes more than
enough air to run the mister on my 6040 mill.

I can't hear them running over the fan in the vfd.

I can't hear myself think when the 2hp shop compressor is burning itself
up supplying the air for that, and this teeny little gizmo should work
just fine for that.

Cheers, Gene Heskett.
