It's a bit painful when the LinuxCNC PC has no exrternal USB drive, so
I am trying to update via ssh at the command-line.
It seems that I have to update to Jessie, then Stretch, Buster,

2.5 hours later, and Jessie is insrtalled.
I may need a new plan. Nothing went wrong, that's just how long update
/ upgrade dist-upgrade takes.
You may be stuck with it, Andy. Updates to newer releases are a pita
here. Save the
/home/andy/linuxcnc out to another machine, do a fresh install to an SSD
(much faster than spinning rust), sort that till the net is working and
then copy the linuxcnc tree back is probably quicker by quite a bit.
I've got 3 still running wheezy as its far more stable than bookworm.
Its (bookworm) such a CF, I'm still afraid to touch my wheezy
installs. As is, they just work.
