You don’t have offsite backup?    If you have written it yourself, I doubt 
there is even a megabyte of data.  (I think “War and Peace” is about 1.5 
megabytes). All the reast is computer generated and can be regenerated.

In any case with Linux distributions, get the one that is most used, 100 
million users will be ahead of you and most of the bugs will have been worked 
out.

And that distro is? Debian or Ubuntu?
