When did you last try it? It has got a lot better relatively recently.
I have made the switch. mainly because it turned out that at some
point Autodesk had merged my home and work accounts, and then when
they went to "hubs" moved all of _my_ data to the Ford Hub, and I am
in minor trouble about that as it is in breach of Ford's license.
First, as William Shakespear said, we kill all the lawyers & MBA's.
I'd spend my spare time removing that which violates Fords License.
They (Ford) likely have more lawyers than autodesk. That seems like an
actionable thing.
I am currently sneaker netting my work to my sons flashforge printer
because his winders version of orcaslicer sends it over the house wifi
to the bamboo cloud, which then sends it back to the printer when it
gets around to it. So his work winds up in a freely downloadable
database. He uses tinkercad, which is windoze only.
This printer has a wifi input with the beacon turned off, so I can't see
it with "iwlist scanning". Hard to find a printer that doesn't
advertize to the neighbors, A good wi-fi dongle see's 24 other
neighorhood radios. The wifi built into this toy computer only see's 3
to 7 depending on its mood, no external antenna's. The wifi router is
one wall & 5 feet away. Sneakernet works but makes work, saving and
copying to the key.
