*SHORT BIO - Sérgio R. Basbaum*
Prof. Dr. Sérgio R. Basbaum is a musician, Bachelor in Cinema, and PhD in
Comunication and Semeiothics (PUC-São Paulo, Brazil). He’s also a Post-Doc
Degree in Philosophy (UNESP). Currently, he teaches and researches at the
Program of Post-Graduate Studies in Technologies of Inteligence and Digital
Design (TIDD), at Pontificia Universidade Católica, São Paulo (PUC-SP),
where he deals with perception, art and technology matters. In 2011, he's
founded and since then coordinates the Techno.exe -- Group of Research in
Technoaesthesis and Infocognition, with students and researchers at TIDD.
Besides several articles published, he’s issued a book on synesthesia art
and technology (2002), and two albums as a composer, player and arranger (

and social media, and nowadays works with Brazilian multimedia poetry
pioneer Wilton Azevedo in the Pantha Rei duo, which performs radical sound
& image improvisations (www.soundcloud.com/pantharei)
