The code mostly managing a tree structure (pointers) loaded from XML and 
then math on integer with nearly no floating point calculation. (It 
performs rendering of music notation https://github.com/rism-ch/verovio/ )

It is clearly not the case for me. Roughly three or four times slower with 
Chrome.
