IISD RS is pleased to announce that the newest issue of MEA
Bulletin is now available. It and all past issues can be
accessed by visiting http://www.iisd.ca/email/mea-l.htm

The 38th issue of MEA Bulletin contains two guest articles
on subjects related to implementing the issues discussed at
the UN Climate Change Conference in Bali:

Yannick Glemarec, UN Development Programme/Global
Environment Facility Executive Coordinator and UNDP
Environmental Finance Manager, authored "UNDP MDG Carbon
Facility: Leveraging Carbon Finance for Sustainable
Development." He discusses UNDP's MDG Carbon Facility,
which offers a comprehensive package of services for
prospective emission reduction projects.

Alex de Sherbinin, Center for International Earth Science
Information Network (CIESIN), The Earth Institute at
Columbia University, authored "The New ENTRI Conference of
Party (COP) Decision Search Tool." This new internet-based
tool permits the user to search decision documents for ten
multilateral conventions and protocols, including the
Framework Convention on Climate Change and its Kyoto
Protocol.

This issue also includes reports on the 53rd meeting of the
Executive Committee of the Multilateral Fund for the
Implementation of the Montreal Protocol and the Meeting to
Identify and Elaborate an Option for International
Cooperation on Migratory Sharks under the Convention on
Migratory Species.

IISD RS would like to thank all of you who completed the
MEA Bulletin reader survey last month. Your positive
feedback and suggestions will be invaluable in our ongoing
efforts to make MEA Bulletin as useful and informative as
possible to our readers. Our first issue of 2008 will be
published 17 January. We at IISD RS wish you all the best
for this holiday season and throughout the coming year.

MEA Bulletin is a publication created by the International
