I'm not sure what you mean by saying it contains random data -- the
data isn't random...

I think you want to look at the "Filename Initialization Vector
Chaining", "Per-File Initialization Vectors", and "External IV
Chaining" settings.

Yes, if you're doing what I think you are it'll let someone conclude
that any two blocks that are encrypted the same correspond to the same
plaintext.  Particularly if parts of files have stereotyped content
(think about the headers in a mail file, for instance), this gives
some information about other text that may be the same.
