REQUESTING INFORMATION ON LEGAL STATUS OF PARENTS IN VARIOUS COUNTRIES

What is the legal status of parents within the family in your country ? Do
both of the spouses/parents/ husband and wife / father and mother) have the
same rights in the family ? Who is intended, by law, to be "the chief of the
family" : the husband/father only or both the spouses ? In case of legal
gender inequality on this issue, have the civil society/women groups taken
steps to change the law ?

We are conducting this kind of action in Senegal and would like to be
informed of situation and actions in other countries worldwide.

Thanks and regards

SEEKING VIDEOTAPES/FILMS ON HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Dear colleagues,

Please allow me to introduce myself. I am a professor of political science
at Clemson University (USA). I teach a course on Global Issues and have
included a new topic: Human Trafficking and Sexual Slavery. I am just
learning the full extent of the problem, and I wondered if you could
recommend any good videotapes or films on the subject that would provide a
good overview for students. Ideally they would be relatively short:
anywhere from 15 minutes to a half hour.

Please let me know at your earliest convenience if any other good ones
come to mind, and how exactly to order them. Thank you very much for
sharing your expertise.

Sincerely,
Johanna Granville
