Patch Set 2: this patch is trying to address the fact that the "root" doesn't work as one would expect. This is the way we "shipped" in 3.4 for better or worse…without an option to use any other user. So the first thing to fix is at least the only one (root) should work… The next thing to do is to give the option to use a different user - exactly to overcome the limitation and security concerns some may have.
