Front Bencher: *A student who opts for any seat from the first two rows in the classroom any any lecture. *Back Bencher: *A student who opts for any seat from the last two rows in the classroom any any lecture. Post your responses in the following format. I'll set the ball rolling - * Benefits of being a back bencher* : You can be attentive throughout the lecture or doze of during the boring ones . You can play , talk , sleep and even listen to few lectures if I feel that they are required. The strictest lecturers/professors are often the most boring ones and they keep an eye on the back benchers completely neglecting the front benchers. So, during such lectures, you can chose to be a front bencher. Backbenchers at my college would say that front-benchers are too brilliant and they always study, never use mobiles, laugh, chat or murmur, and that's why they are there... Front-benchers would say that backbenchers enjoy to the core, they are able to complete all their work during class hours, play, comment and so on... So, the question for you is: Have you been, or are a backbencher or a front-bencher ?
