Also, simply disabling the feature does not restore normal keyboard selection after a column paste. Only selecting text with the mouse reenables normal keyboard selection. (Incidentally, this is on a Win XP SP2 machine) An additional behaviour related to what I already posted . . . Normally, if I continually Ctrl+Shift+Right, I am cumulatively selecting whole words, with the sum of the selected text eventually spanning many lines. However, after a column paste, when I continually Ctrl+Shift+Right, the text selected is only for the present line. Once the cursor advances to the subesquent line of text, the whole previous selection is immediately discarded (ie- the highlighting simply disappears). As I said, normal selecting of text with the keyboard is restored after performing a text select with the mouse (a double-click or a click-and-drag). I have found no other method of restoring normal keyboard text select. -- PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
