Maybe, but is not what happens. When editing an FTP file, the file is just downloaded to the temp directory for editing. When you change the FTP directory, the downloaded file is saved to the new directory when you click "save to FTP". There is just no hard link between the downloaded file and the file on the FTP server. So clicking "new" in the FTP window would create an empty file on the server. You'd have to download it as an extra step to edit it. So it is better to create the new file on the client side and upload it when it is ready. -- PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
