Sounds much more cumbersome. Creating the new file on the server is exactly what he wanted to do according to the original post: "I could ftp a blank file out there and then edit it". What's the big deal about having an empty file on the server for a moment as you edit it? And "downloading" a zero-byte file isn't going to take long... -- PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
