There you have it -- I don't need to read any further! This was the deal
breaker for me, and I gladly paid for the EditPlus license. And, even
apart from multi-line search&replace, s&r seemed a lot more robust in
EditPlus than in PSPad.

Also, working in PSPad sometimes gives me a wobbly feeling ;-) whereas
EditPlus is rock solid. Both have one thing in common, though, after using
them for 5 minutes you know for sure they're just superb pieces of
software.

When I inquired about the lack-luster search&replace in PSPad as compared
to EditPlus a few years ago, Jan Fiala replied that the main reason for
this was that EditPlus uses a commercial search&replace component in its
codebase, whereas PSPad, being 100% freeware, cannot, at least for the
moment, afford to include such high-powered functionality.
