Just to clear things up, I received an Email from Jens Duttke, the
programmer behind the new Oxyd release, and they have absolutely no
intention to take any action against Enigma.  I hope this answers the
question once and for all :-)

They did, on the other hand, ask whether we would be willing to disable
the Oxyd emulation function in Enigma. (Note: ask, *not* request.)  Of
course a change like this is a little difficult to enforce with free
software--even if the official releases disable the emulation, it will
be easy enough for anyone else to fork Enigma and put it back in.

The compromise we arrived at is: Enigma keeps the emulation mode for the
time being, but I will update the Enigma manual and remove the section
that explains how to use the Oxyd data files.  

I think this is only fair, the goal of Enigma was not to encourage
software piracy but to revive an abonded game idea.  

I hope you all agree with this decision.
