It took me a while to grasp this idea ... I must be getting slow.  Yes I do
see what you mean and the icon is the same but I never noticed it before on
Thunderbird nor enigmail.

There is however one difference between Thunderbird and enigmail for selection
of columns for display :

- -     on Thunderbird I have always used a right click in the columns row to 
select
or delete columns for display.  That's why I never noticed the icon.

- -     in enigmail, I tried the right click but it doesn't work.  It took me a
while to spot the icon.

The display problems I have in enigmail's key manager, I do not have in
Thunderbird column display.

My other reply describing better my display problems is held waiting moderator
approval because I attached a couple of screen shots which made the message
size exceed the max allowed without moderation - sorry.
