Interesting read. Note that most vulnerabilities listed there have to do with rendering HTML, but I guess it's possible for someone to send me a specially crafted HTML email and own me. I'm not saying TB24 is safer than newer versions, it's just that when it comes to TB I'm in no hurry to update, as all I do with it is read text. You've nevertheless scared me, lol, so I've switched on Simple HTML just in case :-)
