Dear fellow Enigmail users,
All right, I solved it.
I had updated the key using gpg --edit-key. This did not update it in
gpg2. When I decided to try changing Enigmail to use /usr/bin/gpg, this
was rejected. Then I had the idea to delete the secret key from gpg2,
export from gpg, then re-import into gpg2. This worked.
I hope this helps anyone with a similar problem!
Thanks,
Duncan Guthrie
