In general we (try to) support all Versions of GnuPG since 2.0.9, and
this is usually also the case for 2.1.x. There were one or two occasions
where new features in GnuPG broke Enigmail, but we are far from saying
that some GnuPG versions are not completely supported.

My personal recommendation is that GnuPG 2.1.x is not yet ready for all
end users because there are still many changes that mostly result in
bugs in GnuPG -- not Enigmail. That's my *personal* point of view and
not related to the versions we support.

I told you to switch to GnuPG 2.0.x because I knew about the error,
which I already fixed. I don't think your complaint is really appropriate.
