You need the gnupg2 package: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/xenial/+source/gnupg2 > Not even the GnuPG classic 1.4.21 available on gnupg.org Linux packages often have backportes security patches from higher versions of the same software. So ubuntu 1.4.20-1 may have the same content as 1.4.21 from source. Ubuntu uses the debian package system and the debian maintainer of the gnupg packages really does a good job :-) Ludwig
