That having been said, it has been my experience that once a key gets
into the wild, it finds it's way onto keyservers whether you want it
to or not.

One great way to get a key onto a keyserver without having to upload
it yourself is to use it in an encrypted message group - you'll find
it won't be long before someone in the group performs a mass upload of
their public keyring, and your key will be forever after immortalized
in the keyserver rosters.
