Danke Ludwig!

Sorry - ran into another problem. I revoked one key and created a new
one for the same email address. In the keychain, I also deleted the old,
revoked key. The reason is because I couldn't sign this or include my
"new" valid key. The system says that the key has been revoked.

So how will I get the new key to be recognized so that I can use it?

=======

At first, I didn't notice that there is a separate installed application
(GPG Keychain.app) together with the extension to Thunderbird. I thought
the keychain was accessed from the extension.

And, I see your key also in the keychain list.

I noticed that one of your web site FAQ answers shows an old dialogue
that is different than the actual dialogue window.

https://gpgtools.tenderapp.com/kb/gpg-keychain-faq/how-to-adjust-add-or-remove-an-expiration-date-of-a-key

In the installed application, there is a "Change" button just to the
right of the expiration date. On the web page FAQ, you have a
screenshot: "Change Expiry Date" just next to the "Change Passphrase"
and nothing next to the actual expiration date.

It didn't take too long to find the change and be able to change the
expiration date...I suppose that you've been making changes and updates
to the application and will need a new screenshot for that.

Freundliche Grüße,
