I just downloaded and compiled the latest elogin from CVS, and also find that it is failing to start E17 either from the E17 item, and from an added .xsession item :(
seems I either have the old one that doesn't like my password, or th new one that doesn't start e17 :( Andy btw - check e1x.codewordt.co.uk in a bit - adding an /etc/init.d/ script that can handle starting elogin at boot.
