I don't know if this has been talked about and I can't seem to access the archives
link to read through the recent discussion right now so I'll go ahead and ask.

I've recently learned of freedesktop.org and it's efforts to further "interoperability
and shared technology for desktop environments" by creating a common ground for
developers of Gnome, KDE, and various other desktop environments. I know much of the
work done on Enlightenment has contributed in major ways to the rest of the X
community (and beyond, I'm sure) but I was wondering. Will the developers of
Enlightenment be participating at freedesktop.org? It may be a question that will be
a long time in answering since 0.17 is still in progress, but what are your thoughts
on freedesktop.org and Enlightenment's possible role there one day in the future?

Sorry if this isn't the appropriate place to post this... I really don't make the
same mistake twice if it isn't.
