I should be able to help out with testing on Solaris.

I can also help out with testing this. I generally have X11 running all
the time on my [recently acquired] iBook - though I've not yet
experimented with anything other than the supplied WM, or not hiding the
root window. I suppose it depends how much of a mix of Aqua and X11
applications you're using at a given time - if it's primarily the latter
then a full WM is going to be useful, but if you're switching between a
variety then perhaps it's going to get in the way.

Is anyone looking at getting involved with Fedora package submission?
I've been meaning to volunteer for this for ages (I'm already building
my own packages of DR16.6). This is not just fixing up the spec
files/patches for anything Fedora specific and building the things, but
spending time getting them through QA at http://www.fedora.us/ Hopefully
sometime in the FC3 timeframe this will become the official Fedora
Extras repository - and so a part of the distro proper.

This will be good for E and its users as it will get it back into an
important distribution where many people (not least myself) have been
missing it being supplied "out of the box" for quite a while. Should
also help the developers by reducing bogus bug reports.

Please let me know if anyone already has this in hand or particularly
wants to do it, otherwise I'll start moving on it.

Cheers
