Certainly raster. I find sound support a all to oftenly ignored aspect of destop manager and or window manager design. I come from a musical background and know for one that this sort of coding can get really ugly, mainly since it deals with not so small file types. I wonder what people would prefer in a sound daemon and or lib; fast loads via memory use, or slow load and little memory use?
