I've cvs your latest release of e17 yesterday evening and tried out to compile
them.
Almost all compilation went well (I've already updated my e16 and encountered
some bugs so I wanted to try out e17).

Many of the e17 apps and libs compiled well, but etox. etox simply cannot find
edb -and edb exists, even if using --with-edb-config=the_location.
I actually cannot find out what could be the problem with those files.
However, I can say you that I am using very recent autoconf and automake files,
and some are plaining about some problems in configure.in (about macros
called more than once, even if not).
Almost only enlightenment gives me such problems among many other
programs I compile.

Like etox, Eterm is not compilable too.

When compiling e-0.16.7 (over 0.16.5) I don't have any problem at all, but some
bugs like Eterm not showing the good transparency (but the one from another
desktop), or if I spend time in another desktop, keyboard input is not more
recognized, or the unavailabitlity to change some options (number of desktops)
or the menu that disappeared.

I also use E for daily usages: programming and other common stuffs.
What do you suggest ? try to reinstall better e16.7 ? or try e17 ? or back
to e16.5 ??

Thank you, and sorry for my bad english.
