because edje does not do polygons, beziers, gradients, curves... need i go on? 
:) also note edje is much more complex when it comes to layout than svg. it 
allows note just linear global scaling based on size, but it can resize like 
widget sets can - keeping some elements on the left, right, middle, stretching 
some, not stretching others etc. by use of all the rel1 and rel2 options.

:) you could do VERY LITTLE useful stuff in converting svg->edc :(
