Hello everyone,

I'm currently in the process on integrating e17 and some apps into
Mandriva Linux for inclusion with the next release. It will probably
not make the CD distribution, but will be installable through rpmdrake
or with a simple "urpmi e" and/or "urpmi entrance". It will be
installable alongside e16 as well (I think).

I'm currently done everything except entrance... it's taking some time
for me to integrate it alongside kdm/gdm and also to have it detect
available environments at runtime (instead of compile time). The
packages are now on all of our development mirrors and running quite
well.

One problem, we're using cairo 0.5.0 which is currently incompatible
with evas. Any plans to support it soon?

One other question: We currently use a combo of XDG and Debian menu
systems, and translate such menu entries into each desktop environment's
native menu format. I'm planning on writing an extension of our scripts
to convert to eapp entries as well. Do you know of anyone currently
working on a similar script?

Thanks for your support and the great software.
