Briefly: Using e17 CVS checked out about a month ago (manually checked out/built, not using portage), Athlon XP 3200+, 1024Mb RAM, Gentoo.
I'm programming OpenGL with glut; when my program has focus it does not appear to receive key presses. I have noticed this problem in scummvm (www.scummvm.org), which if IIRC uses glut. Using xfce4 the key presses are passed along fine, so it seems to be e17 specific. I'm not trying to do any fancy things with glut or OpenGL, I'm just starting really. I've been looking at NeHe's tutorials (http://nehe.gamedev.net/) and hacking around a bit. My programs compile fine, and work fine, except for the fact that they receive no key press events. I have tried several of the examples, complied without alteration, and they have the same problem. Googling 'e17 glut' came up with nothing. Maybe no one has come across this yet, or maybe it's been fixed now. It's hellishly annoying, as I'm having to use xfce4 whilst programming now. -- Thomas C R Spurden ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Tame your development challenges with Apache's Geronimo App Server.
