I really am hating systray. the system is awful. I personally would like
nothing better than to delete the itray module and never hear about the systray
again. its ugly. its impossible to make decent looking as it stands, and its of
dubious usefulness.
I get where you're coming from, but to me personally, itray now works
perfectly :) well, ok, I have to admit having one issue; e restarts kill
off my apps, but that's a really minor problem currently :)
I do agree, systray could be done better, but it's not easy to do so
properly, without breaking all kind of apps :/
I suppose if someone took the time to design a "perfect" protocol, and
wrote up patches for some of the more popular software (like gaim) we
might be able to get somewhere.. but, that's in no way my decision :)
