ok- thats a result of a lot of applications and using ilist as the widget.
ilist was never designed for loooong lists of items. it does no optimising. it
creates objects for everything and blindly displays them, creating the long
list of items, querying every one of them for minimum size after calculating
etc. is what eats up the time.
