weird, it should build with last webkit (and thus webkit-efl) and svn
eve, at least works here.

I know Raoul and Calaos people use WebKit-EFL in their project, so it
should work... and they do contribute patches.

While INdT stopped working on it to focus on Qt (= Nokia), some of its
employees are working on it on their free time.

Last but not least, ProFUSION (my company) is working on it on behalf
of another company that shall remain unnamed. If/When they release
their product we may see the source code, as WebKit-EFL license
requires.

So WebKit-EFL is not changing that much and would use more help... but
it's not abandoned anyhow. Eve is basic and works, I do have nice
plans to it like statusbar (that auto-hides, like Chrome), history,
favorites and TABS, but no time to work on those soon. If you find
someone with time to do, I can do mentoring.  If you ignore more
advanced features, I guess we can have a fast browser that looks like
Google Chrome with very little effort.
