then the bug makes no sense... as this is the only thing that can interfere in
events between user and app - without these events get delivered directly. e
isn't involved. only other thing is user-configured mouse bindings (like alt
+left mouse to move). technically u can add bindings without a modifier too.
but the user added those so they should know.
