Agreed (with not changing editors, etc). Also, why worry about a little 
bit of additional whitespace when people are using something like 
uncrustify which aligns function parameters and variables with Huge gaps 
of whitespace between the type and the variable ? People don't seem to 
mind all That wasted whitespace....so why bother with a couple of 
additional ones ? ;)
