I did that recently for another custom monolytic OS. It's currently very easy to do that porting effort. EFL with the right configuration option and up to Elementary require less than 50 system call. It took me one month to do that work. I have done for that purpose a library that I should commit to svn next week, that will help you do that work. Once it's svn don't hesitate asking question !
