If I'm not mistaken the pictures have been from an Audi MMI system and they use a hardware dial easily available for the driver. So the part you can see here is only the visual feedback. (IIRC Audi did some extensive research to compare this hardware dial concept with other input system like a touchscreen and the hardware dial showed way less cognitive load. But its some time that I heard about it in some psychologie car UI courses). BMW has something similar with iDrive. But back to the technical UI problem at hand. I would also expect that the widget would be more like and index and not like the volume slider. While both have the "round knob" design this one selects from dynamic content like an addressbook or streetnames for destinations. You can't use static images, like used for the volume slider knob, for this. regards Stefan Schmidt ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF email is sponsosred by: Try Windows Azure free for 90 days Click Here http://p.sf.net/sfu/sfd2d-msazure _______________________________________________ enlightenment-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/enlightenment-devel
