Those terminal titles in the tabs is EXACTLY the functionality that would be missed. They contain information that is useful some times to some people. That information is useful coz it's there to be seen at a glance. That information can be changed by the program running on that terminal. It may be very important to someone to see that information when it changes, and not have to do something to show the information. Just coz you don't use it and think it's useless, does not mean others think it''as useless. Tabs provide two basic functions, one is to change to another terminal. I'm fine with that being done in this wp2 style. The other is to provide useful information at a glance, without having to do anything other than look. That's the useful functionality that will be missing. That's the functionality that some people need. That's why we need tabs.
