Behdad's point is that "fontconfig caches are process-wide resources,
not your lib's", and FcFini() "is simply there for convenience for
making it easier to find leaks using valgrind".

In any case, I'm glad we can finally get my patch committed to trunk
(and preferably backported); or I could do that myself if I had commit
access, *wink wink, nudge nudge*.
