My playground app has EFL 1.8 (last nights git) and Irrlicht 1.8 sharing the same window now, again. Both with raw Evas_GL and Elm_glview, the later is new. The Irrlicht GL is the background, showing a game level demo from Irrlicht. On top of that I have a transparent Elm inwin (with box, toolbar, menu, genlist, and other Elm goodies). On top of everything I have two ePhysics widgets bouncing around.
Resizing the window resizes the Irrlicht GL, though it doesn't do proper aspect ratio fixing yet. Everything flickers, though I've been able to reduce the flicker a lot by jiggling ecore_animator_frametime_set() a little. I'm sure it's just Irrlicht and Evas_GL not quite agreeing on some GL option deep inside them both. Even if I reduce things down to just the Evas_GL / Elm_glview, it still flickers. Perhaps Rasters idea for porting Irrlicht might help with this flicker, but I don't want to do that just yet. I will try it later, I just wanted it to work for now. Let's hope this stays stable through the next couple of EFL and Elm releases. Right now I want to work on finishing the basic camera code, then maybe bolt on another big bit of some one else's infrastructure. Kinda tired of struggling with just getting EFL / Irrlicht integration to work, again. -- A big old stinking pile of genius that no one wants coz there are too many silver coated monkeys in the world.
