 From a distribution package maintainers point of view it would be much 
nicer if this commit didn't make it into a stable update without a 
associated fix for the NVIDIA issue. Not sure what entirely it fixed 
(maybe i can't see where alpha windows are used) but it braking GL in 
the 1.11.3 release for probably atleast 40% of users is really not a 
good solution. Keep it in git if you want but don't bork the stable 
branches for a reasonably large percentage of users.

I guess i'll go write a patch to revert this in our stable release that 
is due to be the efl for the next openSUSE release.
