Most people i chat to are either using intel (particularly on laptops) but the second biggest group is still nvidia with the Proprietary driver. With the introduction of steam on linux Nivida has done a huge amount of work improving performance in the last year, where as when i tried noveau a few months back on a second hand laptop it couldn't even render kde properly. > > But even if the number is way lower this is still a problem we need to > fix. A 1.11.4 with both fixes maybe worth while presuming someone has the time to make it work together. In terms of my schedule next week is probably the last week when i can push fixes before the release. After that i may do a maintenance release to include it but thats more work and id have to look up the processes so it may not happen unless people are asking about it. It may also be worth putting a note on the downloads page saying that 1.11.3 is broken for NVIDIA opengl users.
