If we go to use only dokuwiki there is the risk of make the frontend site a great mess of contents. In the last 8 years (or so) we changed our wiki 4 times (our php cm, trac, phab and now dokuwiki). This has been a great mess and a lot of contents has been lost, without thinking at the mess in the search engines: if you search about efl stuff on google the majority of the times you get a result that no more exists :( All our wiki instances was always been quite messy in the contents organization, I really think we need a single person that do some sort of moderation on the contents, at least for the organization of the content structure... ...hmmm, yes, ok...
