Upon further inspection it appears that the issue has disappeared; The blinking light and buzzer noise is no longer present. In that case the box could be simply overheating when under heavy load, or be experiencing some intermittent fan problems. I'll keep an eye on it for now, in case it decides it doesn't want to work again.
