I have had exactly the same problem. I haven't been able to fix it to date. However, the suggestion made seemed quite reasonable to me and other people have succeeded in getting it to work. You need to put in a symlink to libImlib.so.1
I have cut and pasted the info sent t me:

ln -s libImlib.so.11 libImlib.so.1
should end up like this:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 14 Dec 9 06:59
/usr/lib/libImlib.so.1 -> libImlib.so.11

What can I do to fix this? I started with the version of Enlightenment that was shipping with RH 8.0, but upgraded to the latest version per the Enlightenment web site and still have the same problems.
