every time you install or move a .so library you have to:
- make sure that /etc/ld.so.conf contains an entry with the name of the
dir containing the library, adding it if missing.
- run "ldconfig" as root to update /etc/ld.so.cache and to create the
necessary simlinks, or the loader won't never find the library.
