Hi, I finally managed to change my Eterm fonts on my own! For those who want to know the magic behind font manipulation:
Let's say you have a terminalpants.pcf fonts, then all you have to do is to place it in ~/.fonts . Then run mkfontdir ~/.fonts then place "xset +fp ~/.fonts" in ~/.Xclients-default (Redhat 9!) restart X and look in the ~/.fonts directory, You'll see a file named fonts.dir If you "cat fonts.dir", you'll see something like ------------------------------------------------------------------- terminalpants.pcf -ppants-terminalpants-medium-r-normal--12-120-75-75-c-60-iso8859-1 ------------------------------------------------------------------- Now this is the magic incantation to load the fonts (that I've been searching for a while!) an Eterm -F -ppants-terminalpants-medium-r-normal--12-120-75-75-c-60-iso8859-1 would load the new fonts and make Eterm look cool! :-) With kind regards, Didier --- PhD student Singapore Synchrotron Light Source (SSLS) 5 Research Link, Singapore 117603 Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED] Website: http://ssls.nus.edu.sg On Sat, 13 Sep 2003, Didier Casse wrote: > Hi there, > I got these set of fonts: > > moosefont.bdf moosefont.pcf terminalpants.bdf terminalpants.pcf > > from pixelmoose and I want to make Eterm use some of these fonts.
