I agree with John. Enlightenment is becoming so much more configurable that Sound as well could be looked upon as an option with separate configuration. If all this has to be part of E or if a sound event managers (from another package) could be used, that I leave in the open. I am not that experienced yet with E. I wonder if it would not make some sense to check with the other Windows/Desktop developers if some common sound event manager could be setup. Don't know if by suggesting this I step on possible sensitive toes around here, but hey, that's how I think about it.
